we have a old log cabin approx 45 years old
we need to re chink some spots but are wondering if the new chinking compound will adhere to the old cement type that already exsists
do we have to remove all the old chinking some of it is still in good shape?

In most cases you can apply the new latex chink over the concrete. Knock any rough edges off from the concrete before starting and it will the process alot easier. Also remove any really loose concrete that is falling out and fill the gaps with a closed cell foam to chink on top of.
