Question:

We are just finishing-up our handcrafted log cabin. The logs were cut last November so we are going to wait one heating season to stain. However, can we go ahead and caulk? Or, will there be too much movement and shrinkage with the logs to do it now?

Answer:

You could do it now, but there will be some pulls and breaks that will need to be repaired.
