I am from Dryden, NY about 45mins from Syracuse and am wondering if you can point me in the right direction. I am considering buYing a log home as I an really worried about the boaring insect? Any information can help. Thank Youb

The only good way to stop the boring insects is to strip the home and apply a borate treatment. Call Mike at 866-670-3020 for a rough estimate on the costs.

My log cabin of white cedar from Maine is only 2 years old. It appears something is at ALL the knots in the entire cabin, inside and out. I can push tweezer all the way in and pull out punky wood. Don't see any insect. only polyurethane on inside, sikkens stain! freaking out, haven't even paid for this place yet.
Thank-you! oh and some of these 'knot holes' seem perfectly round..........

The logs are from Maine, the cabin is in MA
