I own a 25 year old Panabode red cedar log home, which I love, but has been painted. After getting estimate for blasting and refinishing, I'm thinking - why not just re-side with log siding? Why wouldn't this work?

It would probably cost just about as much to side. ??? I wouldn't want to cover up nice red cedar, but it could be done. I would recommend a borate treatment on the logs first.
