Is energy seal applied pre or post staining? I would like to stain before the temps drop below the reccomended temp during stain application

Answer:

I would recommend caulking first.

Dr.,Wont the stain alter the color of the energy seal? Also, why dont you recommend using stainable wood filler to fill insect holes? Some logs are riddled w/ holes and i would like to match the stain color as closely as possilble.
