We have a 2 yr old log cabin. The outside posts are full shaved trees. There are a few spots maybe 4" X 4" here are there that are basically crumbling. There are no visible bugs or moldy spots, and the logs have been stained. Any idea what this could possibly be, and how we should treat it?

Not sure. Kind of sounds like dry rot. You could try to dig out and fill with Wood Epox, but you may need to get the logs replaced. Call 800-564-2987 to buy Wood Epox. Call 877-788-5647 for estimate on log replacement.
