I need to find an interior log cleaner or recipe for cleaning logs. Our logs are twenty-five years old, collect dust, and need to be rejuvenated.

1 cup bleach, 1 cup TSP to 4-5 gallons warm water. wash with this mixture and rinse. Apply Liquid Gold after logs are dry.

We built a log home on a lake 4 years ago. I think building on a lake has made our house a magnet for bugs, birds, bats and bees. My biggest complaint is how dirty our logs look covered in spider webs, gnats & bird poop. I've tried just hosing the logs off but everything sticks. Any suggestions? Should we have used a more glossy stain?

We built a log home in 1994 with western red cedar and Douglas fir interior walls. We are remodeling and are finding that many of the douglas fir walls have become discolored/lightened where various items have been hanging for a number of years. All of the interior walls have been finished with 3 coats of poly. Is there a quick fix to bringing the discolored areas back to the original color (or at least close to the original color)?
