Question:

We had our log huse power washed a year ago, they had lots of experience doing log houses they say. The south facing side of the house most of the stain peeled off and the hand hewn wood has 'feathered'. It was restained and looks horrible. What can be done to "fix" this? Would sanding mess up all the hand hewing?

Answer:

Sanding would mess it up. Corn cob or glass blasting would be the best, dry method, but you will loose some of the hand hewn marks. Not as bad as sanding. Call Mike at 866-670-3020 for help.
