Question:

Are there industry-agreed or ASTM or even mandatory standards for how a manufacturer is supposed to pretreat logs for homes for beetles, shrinkage, and rot? if so, where can these be found? Thanks!

Answer:

No mandatory standards, unless by local building code that I'm aware of. There certain things recommended, but I think most of it is from the product manufacturers. Try calling Dave at 800-54- 2987 for more help.
