Question:

We moved into our custom log home in 2002. We had to corn blast the interior because the builder used the incorrect stain. It left a lot of log sawdust which has been dropping from cracks in the logs and now is dropping out from under chinking that is pulling away from logs. What should we do?

Answer:

Repair the chinking will help, but you will probably see the cob for a long time.
