Hi, we have a log cabin in central Wisc., its in an open area and something is knawing at the logs on the outside...alot. Its not limited to one area and goes as high as high as the roofline. we had it treated but its still happening. What could be doing this? Thanks

Answer:

Squirrels or porcupines would be my guess.

My small log cabin in the isolated woods of upper Mich. is being chewed on by porcupines, how and what can I put on the logs to repel them? Someone suggested I paint the logs with tar, but that seems extreme. HELP ME. They are nasty uninvited guests! Thank you.
