Question:

We built a house a yr. ago, we have pine log siding, nothing has been done to the logs, can you suggest what would be the best thing we need to do to seal them, and if we need to caulk or chink between the logs? Thanks, Tracey!

Answer:

Not sure how dirty or black the logs are. You may get by with a LIGHT wash. If they are really bad then corn blasting would be in order. Be sure to apply a good borate like Shell Guard RTU before staining. Call 800-564-2987 for help and products.
