Question:

We have just purchased a log home in Eastern Ohio and among other maintenance issues we have a synthetic chinking in the house which is dirty and dinghy from everyday dust, dirt and smoke and we would to know if you have a suggestion on how to clean it.

Answer:

Hard to clean. You may want to paint it. Get a good quality latex primer and have it tinted to the color that you want. Perma Chink makes a chink paint, but it is hard to apply.
