Question:

I am seeing a fine bluish tinge dust coming from around the logs near the ceiling . What do you think this is?

Answer:

hard to say. Not sure on the "bluish" part. It could possibly be Powder Post Beetle. There would be a lot of tiny little holes in the wood.

Bluish tinge could be the foam insulation used in the roof being chewed by insects.
