Question:

I have recently purchased a log home constructed of D shaped logs. One of the bathrooms tub/shower is located up against the exterior wall and the wood is exposed. This bathroom is to be used on daily basis. What do I need to do to protect the wood from the daily showers and soap build up.

Answer:

You may want to try and install a piece of glass or shower door to protect the wood and still be able to see the logs. Dry logs are happy logs! If that is not possible you need to make sure you have a good quality acrylic finish on the logs that you maintain regularly.
