Question:

I have a cedar log home on Pelee Island in Lake Erie that has been painted for a number of years and has some obvious rot in some logs and old cement repairs. I will be corn blasting it this summer. Can I leave the cabin without a finish on it over the winter to allow it to dry out and repair stain and finish the logs in the spring?

Answer:

Yes, but you will want to wash it before you stain it with Log Wash to remove mold spores and dirt.
