we are looking at buying a log home it was done with 6x9 solid milled yellow pine logs we have notice many cracks in the log is this normal, the house was built in 2005 and is in missiouri the log were purchased from north caralina

It is normal, but I do not recommend filling them. Better to leave them alone unless they are allowing wind, water or bugs to get inside. If you are concerned about bigger, facing up checks, squeeze some Shell-Guard into them. Call 800-564-2987 to purchase.
