Question:

I am having a cabin built and the color of the interior side of the logs is quite different than the tongue and groove wood that has been installed above the actual logs. It should be noted that the logs were subjected to a couple of months of winter weather and have weathered because of delays in getting a roof on. The builder bleached the logs before applying a clear polyurethane but the color of the logs and T&G is still quite different. The builder says that the logs and T&G will get close

Answer:

Different wood will always come out a different color with the same stain. You will have to try and apply a little darker color I'm guessing on the T&G to match the logs. They will not blend together over time.
