On my second story in one corner mid section I have tiny white particles falling from the rough cut lumber. I cannot tell if the timber has ever been treated. What is the best remedy for stopping the flaking?


Not sure what you are describing, but if it is a fine sawdust then you probably have powder post beetle in the wood. Only good way to treat it is get it back to clean bare wood and apply a borate. Call 800-564-2987 for more help and the product that you will need.
