what type of wood is best for a log cabin with square logs, in the 6" x 10" or 8 X 12 range? I live in southern Indiana. there seems to be an abundance of yellow popular in my area, would this be a good choice?

Answer:

Poplar logs wood be fine as long as you keep up on the maintanence of the stain.

We have a log cabin located at Boy Scout Camp Red Wing in Delaware Councty, Indiana. We are looking for someone who could help us evaluate the structure for needed repairs. Do you know of anyone is this area (Muncie, Indiana) who we could contact for this advice? Thanks you....Jack
