My logsided home is 10 years old & the stain started peeling off after the 1st winter. It's eastern white pine. Do I have to cornblast or is there an alternative ? Can you suggest anyone local in Maine ?

If it is 10 years old it should be blasted first.

our pine log home is 10 yrs old. We were told since these 8 in square logs with t&g with caulking between that calking chinking was not necessary. water damage and rot is evident since chinking was not done for the first 5 years, Should we reside with cedar or use something like hardie board? When we do should the windows be moved to the potside edge of the siding. Thank You Joe
