Question:

I am about to purchase a 1982 satter white log home. The owner painted it last year and I know I need to remove the paint but there is no one here that can corn cob blast or glass blast it. What would you recommend? How often will I have to stain it after I use permachink on it? Thank you!

Answer:

Once you get the paint off and apply Perma Chink's Life Line it will need a maintenance coat of the clear about every 3 years, depends on your exposure. Call Mike at 866-670-3020 for help getting it corn or glass blasted.

I purchased a log home built in 1980 to restore. The original owner painted the home 2 yrs ago with products from perma chink. I would like to corn cob blast the paint off and stain a more natural color. There are no service offered in my area for blasting so I am attempting it my self. Can I buy just a regular 20 gallon sandblaster and use corn cob media? How much media do I need? Do I need a certain tip for the hose? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
