Question:

Log cabin built in 1992. Owner used any kind of sealant he could find for chinking. I would like to pressure wash/clean re-stain and chink. It that the sequence, staining then chinking? Thanks.

Answer:

It depends on how big your logs are. If they are 8" or less you should chink first. Log homes with smaller dia logs tend to look like a Zebra when chinked last. I will just add also that I am not a fan of power washing.
