Question:

Can you advise me on repair for cedar siding? I have Behr liquid rawhide 14 on my house and it needs to be removed. I saw that you advised corn cob blasting to another person for their log home. Will this work on siding or will it erode the wood too much?

Answer:

Corn cob blasting will work fine.

I used Behr's Liquid Rawhide on my log cabin home near Idaho's Farragut State Park six years ago. I just learned about the mildew problem in Western Washington and resultant lawsuit. I am concerned. What do you advise?
Thank you for your suggestions.

12 years ago I used Behr liquid raw hide on log siding and it has served me very well but now its time for a few more coats to spruce it up and Behr Has replaced it with a latex product. A professional painted advised me that the new product would peel and only cause headaches for me in the future. What do you suggest?
