could we throroughly clean and sand a 15 year old cedar shingle siding (to create an even honeish color) and seal it in the Spring. It is fall now in the castskill mountains(upstate NY) and there are good and bad days. I understand you need a lot of good above 40 degree weather for drying and staining. What happens if I wait to re stain in the Spring time. Could we re stain even if the weather is not perfect. We greatly appreciate your advice. thank you. OLga

I would recommend waiting until spring. Yes, you need perfect weather.
