Question:

What kind of time frame are we looking at to sand the interior of a log home? Is the cost high to have it done professionally? What products do we need to purchase to do the sanding ourselves? It sounds extreme;y involved and tedious. Thank you.

Answer:

Normally it would need to be ground first with 5" 50 grit angle grinder, then sanded with 80 grit orbital sander. Professionally expect to pay $50 to $75 per man hour plus materials. A 1,500 sq ft house would take a 3 man crew about a week to complete, not counting staining.
