My husband and I purchased a home about an hour south of St. Louis 3 years ago. The home was built around a 2 story log cabin from the 1800's. The logs are hand-hewn and square. The exterior of the logs is covered by siding. The interior had plaster over it at one time and is in desperate need of re-chinking. Being it is the interior, what is our best option for "cleaning" or sanding the logs w/o hurting them to remove the plaster remnants? Also what chinking method do you suggest that wil

Media blasting to be the best way, but is very messy for inside. You should remove the old mortar chinking and install latex Perma Chink with Grip Strip behind it. If you are interested in a bid call Mike at 866-670-3020.
