I am finishing up on my newly built log cabin. It's time to finish the outside. I plan on using permachink products. What are your thoughts on putting a coat of shell guard on? Is it effective and worthwhile.

Answer:

It is a must! Be sure that it is dry before staining.

We have a 5 yr old scandanavian log home in Canada. it is heated with propane and can get pricey. We are thinking to install a heated floor throughout. Would this help retain heat in the log home? We are hoping it may cut the cost of propane.
