Question:
The south side of my house had sikkens applied to it, it has flaked off from the sun exposure and the logs have turned grey, the rest of the house will need some work but its not as bad as the southside, is there any way of trying to save it without replacing it? I'm not concerned with trying to match the other 3 sides, I just want to get it sealed properly again.
Answer:
You should Osborne brush the entire bad side. You may have to sand it to remove any remaining stain so that it doesn't come out blotchy. Apply 2 coats of Sikkens Log & Siding to this side and one coat to he balance of the house after washing it.
