Question:

We have a 16 year old log house. The dry wall was cut to fit the size of the logs. As the logs shrank, the gap in the dry wall has gotten bigger; what do you recommend to fill that gap?

Answer:

You can run a bead of chinking down the gap to cover. Ideally during construction the logs are slotted and the dry wall is tucked into the slot so that the logs can slide up and down the dry wall as they move.
