Question:

every year, tiny little bees(?)drill my logs on the front porch and posts. what to do? also. carpenter bees between the gutters and house. please help.

Answer:

The tiny little bees may be Parasitic Wasps that are going in previous holes drilled by Powder Post Beetles or something similar, eating the larvae in the logs. Carpenter bees are a constant battle. Not much to do. Have an exterminator come and spray, but it will be an ongoing process. I will email you in separate email a flier on the Parasitic Wasps
