Question:

I WANT TO LOG SIDE A BRICK HOME> HOW WOULD THE LOG FASTEN TO THE BRICK

Answer:

I would attach 2x4's flat side against the wall with TapCon concret screws. Space the 2 by'severy 16 inches and a screw every 12 inches down the length of it. You will have to drill a pilot hole in the mortar joint for every screw. Your local hardware or lumber yard can help you.

Are you kidding? Maintaining our four-year-old log cabin is a nightmare. I wish I could put brick over the logs!

What if it's an interior brick wall only a 6 x 9? Can you use adhesive if you are limited on space on the hearth? It's half logs.
