Remodeling interior of my home with pine car siding. In need of a post and would like to use a pine tree from my land but not sure if once its debarked and brought inside will it start to sap? Does it need dried and cured, or can I seal it while fresh?

Answer:

It needs to dry outside for 6 to 12 months. under roof or cover but sides open when drying.
