I am putting on an addition to my solid log home, but have decided to put real half-log siding on the outside of the addition. Half-logs are 5-6 inch max front to back. Drafter said to use 1/2 in sheathing (ply or OSB). Does this sound adequate, or would you recommend something thicker? Thank-you

You should check with local building code. Every where is different, but I would think that it is okay.
