I'm building a red cedar log cabin against an old structure I built 8 years ago how much will it settle if logs r ten feet high? And how long do I need to wait to chink? The method I'm use ing is a slot in top log and I slid in masonry mesh and trimmed and tacked the bottom. I'm in east Texas and the logs where cut in July. They are already peeled and erected. I'm putting on roof now
