I am restoring one of the rooms in our log home( the rest where to cut up and we just studded and drywall them). The log are not notched therefore I have gaps that span from 3in to 12in. the outside is covered in wood siding then vinyl over the wood. I am removimg all the old chinking which consisted of wood and clay mixed with straw. I’m planning on using fiberglass insulation to fill space between and behind logs then attach wire mesh and some form of masonary chinking. Is this a good way to
