We recently bought a cottage that has faux log siding. The house is framed from 2×4 and the exterior is covered with what looks like 2×8 with a log shape milled into them. There is no type of tonque and grove on the board edge.
The interior os the house is open with no wall board or insulation. We can see evidence of water and would like to caulk the boards before insulating.
What type of caulk should be used on the horizonal seems?
