We recently purchased a log home in northern MO. It is about 15 years old, is half log inside and out over inner walls. The logs are cedar and we have flexible chinking inside and out. I notice inside that we have gaps where the logs have moved anc created webbed or open spaces and we can feel drafts from some of those areas. To repair, does the old chinking need to be removed first or do they just patch over it? Thanks,
Bill
