The north side of my 28 year old pine log home needs at least 50′ of logs replaced. I typically replace the outer side of the logs only. Other logs are not so bad and I have been using a combination of liquid epoxy and impel rods to arrest the rot. My question is when is it time to replace a log rather than try to save it. Also, can epoxy sealers go hand and hand with impel rods and boricide?
