I am getting ready to build a new log home. Because log homes have so much wood inside and out that I will be staining and clear coating, I have strong concerns about a safe stain and clear cloat I could use that is prooven to not be toxic in any way and I’m even afraid of hearing ten years down the road that what I used and thought was safe was now prooven to be highly toxic. What would you recommend? Thanks

Most latex stains for log homes are non-toxic. Go to the Perma Chink www.permachink.com website and you will be able to pull up all of the MSDS’s (material safety data sheets) for all of their products. As for ten years down the road, if I knew the future I would be glad to tell you.
