We are moving into a cedar home that has unmilled interior walls. The wood has not been cared for and is very rough and difficult to clean because of its roughness. We do not have the time and resources to do an entire sanding of the house. I was wondering if there is any sort of sealer or coating that can be put on before staining that will help smooth and gloss up our walls without sanding. I have heard of sanding sealers, is this something that could be used to coat over the roughness?T
