My family and I are renting a home in Wisconsin that we are considering buying. The interior is faux log, siding is cedar and the roof is old. I keep thinking I am seeing wet looking logs near the top of the cathedrial ceiling where the flashing may be bad. If the roof is indeed leaking, how easy would this be to see from a distance in the logs/wood ceiling? If the logs are indeed wet, do they need to be completley replaced or can they just dry out? Willing to replace the roof, not half the logs
