I am preparing to complete a half log replacement and wanted suggestions on how to install the log. Both faces are pretty square. would an adhesive or caulk be best, then wood screws. I was quoted $1,000’s to do the replacement, so far its cost me $75(mill) and a case of beer(kiln).
