We recently bought a 55 year old log home. The outside has not had any stain or treatment in many years. Two of the walls have what appears to be sun damage, the looks look ”parched”. Is it possible to treat and recondition the logs, and what products would you recommend for a DIY.
Thanks! Trudy

The first thing you should have done is the exterior completely corn cob blasted to remove the bad surface wood and get back to some good clean wood to work with. Corn cob blasting is something you should have a professional do. The equipment is expensive and it is very hard labor. As for the products to use, Perma Chink makes all of the products that you will need. Call Timeless Wood Care Products at 800-564-2987 for help in getting these products.
