My husband and I are planning to build a log home with lodgepole pine. The trees were cut and piled four years ago and we are finding some rot spots on them where the were touching other logs. Some of them have a hollow sound as well. Is there anything we can do to treat these logs to kill the rot and resore their structural integrity, or should we start over? We already have quite a large investment in the logs.
