Hello, I’d like to make a classic log ranch style entrance on my driveway out of 2 Douglas Fir trees I just fell. Is this possible? Will they rot? How should I prepare them? Is there a coating I could use? I know they use Douglas fir on log homes? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chad
