We live in southwest Iowa and are building our first log home. We are using 2 1/4”x 8” hand hewn pine log siding. It will be exposed to sun most of the day. We prefer to keep the color as natural as possible or slightly darker. What do you recommend, a stain or a sealer or both? And what brand do recommend?
