I hired someone to re-stain my pine log home. The last step in his prep was power washing and he must have went too strong with the pressure as it actually stripped off some of the wood. (i.e. there was sawdust) He’s now staining and there are dark spots where the bare spots were. He tells me these will fade over time and the color will become more even – is he telling the truth? It looks pretty bad right now.
