I have an older log cabin – around 35 years and looking a little rough. I was wondering if the new paints out now for decks and concrete, such as Restore or Rescue would be applicable for the outside logs. The appeal would be the various colors and longevity of the coating. Those paints seal cracks and can make rather smooth surfaces if using brushes instead of the rollers. Do the logs need to breathe on the outside, which might not make this a viable option?
