I have a 1984 built log (whole log)home with exposed chinking outside and would like to stain the home. It currently has what appears to be a water based stain in dark chestnut that we would like to change to dark, almost black stain. Any suggestions for product brand? Also, any ideas on how to eliminate or decrease indoor spiders in the home (Maine)?
